Overview
As an Automotive Design Head my responsibilities at Simple Energy Pvt Ltd, Bangalore,India, was to head the automotive design team in the company’s vision to conceive the next generation homegrown electric scooter.
Extensively and collaboratively worked on penning down the aesthetics, problem solved the challenges in styling and body panels architecture with design thinking, of the Mark I and Mark II electric scooter concepts with the Simple Energy’s design and design engineering team.
Advocated design methodolgies, restructured and redefined the design directions, identified and addressed the pain areas through thorough insights, built up team morale and rationale by contributing to the design process of Mark I and Mark II electric scooters.
Post my tenure at Simple Energy Pvt Ltd the Mark II concept underwent further refinement in terms of aesthetics, architecture and engineering.
The electric scooter was launched in the Indian Market as ‘Simple One’ in the year 2021.

The Mark I concept design direction drew inspiration from the Iron Man’s suit.

The Mark II concept design direction was redefined and the form inspiration was derived from the Native Asiatic Indian Paradise Flycatcher. The Front panel, the side panels and the split tail lamps design was inspired by the Indian Paradise Flycatcher’s crown and crest, feathers and long split tail respectively.
